Open Heavens Devotional December 31 2020

Theme For Open Heavens Devotional December 31 2020 – A NEW YEAR COMETH.

MEMORY VERSE:

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13
BIBLE READING: Psalm 90:12
So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

MESSAGE:

A•. We have come to the end of another year.
1• A New Year begins tomorrow.
2• At the end of a season, it is important that you sit and review the season.
3• Review all that happened or didn’t in every aspect of your life in 2020.
4• Did you experience any progress in your career?
5• Did you draw closer to God this year?
6• Did your relationship with loved ones get better this year?
7• You know the important areas of your life; do a review.
B. After your review, you will see areas where you need to improve.
1• The opportunity to improve starts now; grab it with faith in God for a better year. 2• List the things you want to achieve in The New Year and put things in place to ensure you achieve them.
3• If for example, you want to live a better spiritual life, but there is a partner you keep committing fornication or adultery with, then it is time to delete that fellow’s number and cut all ties with him/her.
4• Hebrews 12:1 says: “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,”
5• Let The Word of God guide you in all matters.
6• Psalm 37:5 tells us to: “Commit thy way unto The Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass.”
C. Beloved, your decisions and actions now will determine how Year 2021 will be for you.
1• If there are things you want to stop in your life, you had better not carry them into 2021 and
2• If there are things you want start in your life, bring them in now.
3• You have a chance to write your own history in 2021; don’t miss it.
4• May The Almighty God Bless you tremendously in the coming year in The Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
PRAYER POINT:
Declare the things that you want in the year 2021. It will be a greater year for you than all those that had come before it, in The Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Revelation 21-22
AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE
HYMN: O LORD MY GOD!
1. O Lord my God, When I in awesome wonder,
Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made;
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.
Refrain:
Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art!
2. When through the woods, and forest glades I wander,
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees.
When I look down, from lofty mountain grandeur
And see the brook, and feel the gentle breeze. Refrain:
3. Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art! Refrain:
4. And when I think, that God, His Son not sparing;
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;
That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin. Refrain:
5. Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art! Refrain:
6. When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation,
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart.
Then I shall bow, in humble adoration,
And then proclaim: “My God, how great Thou art!” Refrain:
7. Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art! Refrain:
