Wommack experienced a personal encounter with God at the age of eight when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. He later attended a Youth for Christ rally, where he rededicated his life to Christ and committed himself to full-time ministry.

In 1968, Wommack enrolled at the College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Missouri. During this time, he began leading Bible studies and prayer meetings, laying the foundation for his future ministry.

In 1994, Wommack founded Charis Bible College (formerly Colorado Bible College) in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The college offers a unique curriculum that focuses on practical teaching, biblical worldview, and real-world application of faith.

In 2000, he launched the Gospel Truth TV program, which airs nationally and internationally. The program features his teachings and has reached a wide audience with his messages on faith, healing, and spiritual growth.

Andrew Wommack has authored numerous books on topics ranging from faith and healing to relationships and financial stewardship. His books include titles like “Spirit, Soul, and Body,” “The Believer’s Authority,” and “You’ve Already Got It!”

Wommack is the founder of Andrew Wommack Ministries (AWM), which includes various media outlets, a Bible college, and humanitarian efforts.

Wommack’s teaching ministry gained traction in the 1970s as he started holding seminars and conferences focused on the message of God’s unconditional love and grace. He emphasized the authority of the believer, healing, and the power of the spoken Word.
