Pastor Laurie was born on December 10, 1952 (age 69) at Long Beach, California, U.S. His mother had him as a single mother and eventually had seven marriages. Laurie’s first job was as a newspaper delivery man for the Daily Pilot in Los Angeles, CA.
Laurie grew up in California. However, his life took a significant turn during his teenage years. He encountered the Christian faith during the Jesus Movement of the late 1960s and early 1970s..
Pastor Laurie gave his life to Christ at the age of 17 after his encounter. From then on, he became a devout Christian at Newport Harbor High School under the ministry of evangelist Lonnie Frisbee.
Pastor Laurie is also widely recognized for his evangelistic events and crusades. His annual “Harvest Crusade” events have drawn thousands of attendees, both in person and through live broadcasts.
