Pastor Levi Lusko Reflects on Emotional State After Father’s Passing

In the wake of his father’s passing, Pastor Levi Lusko of Fresh Life Church took to Instagram to share a poignant reflection on his emotional state.

“Life lately,” he wrote, “sorrow and gladness. hope and mourning. tears and laughter. grief and glory.” These simple words painted a picture of profound loss intertwined with unwavering faith.

Pastor Levi’s father passed away on April 2nd, leaving a void not just in his family but also within the church community. The news was particularly unexpected considering Levi’s previous social media updates. Last May, he shared his father’s pancreatic cancer diagnosis, sparking a wave of support within the congregation.

Throughout the summer, Levi’s faith was an inspiration. He documented his father’s fight, his belief in a miracle unwavering during chemotherapy. By August, hope bloomed as Levi publicly celebrated God’s intervention and the success of the medical team.

However, tragedy struck again on Good Friday. Admitted for what seemed like a minor issue, Levi’s father received a devastating diagnosis, leaving only days. Despite fervent prayers, he eventually passed away.

Yet, amidst the grief, Levi found strength in faith. His Instagram post continued, “There has been such kindness expressed by so many friends and neighbors. I feel overwhelmed by such love.”

Even with the profound sadness threatening to engulf him, Levi’s faith remained resolute. He acknowledged, “Though the sadness persists,” with a quiet acceptance, “so does His mercy.” He spoke openly of feeling “a little rickety,” a vulnerability that resonated with many.

But his trust in God’s grace and strength remained unshaken. He quoted a passage from the Bible, “His strength is made perfect in weakness,” offering a message of hope and perseverance not only for himself but for his grieving congregation.
