The multiple award-winning gospel artist however has taken to social media to express his excitement and gratitude.

He also shared his connection to the award, stating, “I am incredibly humbled, honored, and thrilled by the nomination. My Grandfather, Bishop Calvin Woods Sr., was actively involved and shared a deep bond with Dr. King, Abernathy, Shuttlesworth, and Young, serving as a constant source of inspiration for me. Knowing that I belong to a community of individuals who are actively shaping the world means everything to me.”
Pastor Mike further expressed his appreciation for his team acknowledging their contributions to the award nomination. “So grateful that I get to do this with my squad, he wrote. “Without my producers, singers, management, and @therockcitybham none of what I do is possible!”
The nomination for the NAACP Image Award is a major accomplishment for Mike Jr. It is a recognition of his talent and his impact on the gospel music industry.
