Pastor Peter Toggs Announces Memorial Service for Late Mother
The Parable Church founder, Peter Toganivalu, popularly known as Peter Toggs, has announced the memorial service for his late mother, Vera Florence Toganivalu.
The bereaved pastor announced a memorial service scheduled to be held at Hillsong Church, where he and his wife, Laura, resigned in 2023 after years of leading as youth pastors.
According to the announcement shared on his Instagram page, the memorial service takes place by 10:30 AM on Monday, August 12, at 1-5 Solent Circuit, Baulkham Hills. After the service, Florence will be laid to rest at Castle Hill Cemetery, Gilbert RD, Castle Hill.
Florence Toganivalu, 68, passed away peacefully in the early morning of August 5th after an undisclosed health challenge.
Florence’s family announced the devastating news at the time. Peter Toggs along with his wife Laura and in-laws Brian and Bobbie Houston, founders of Hillsong Church, shared their deep sorrow and profound loss while also celebrating her life and her strong belief in God.
“My beautiful mum, Vera Florence Toganivalu, went to be with Jesus early this morning,” Peter shared at the time. “I miss her so much. She fiercely loved her family & we adored her. She has been the strongest person I know. Her faith in the Lord has been unwavering, worshipping Him and seeking Him until the very end.”
The news of Florence Toganivalu’s passing has garnered an outpouring of condolences and tributes. Family, friends, and members of the church have expressed their deep sorrow and offered prayers for the bereaved family.
Peter Toggs, however, has acknowledged the overwhelming outpouring of love and support following the loss of his mother.
In a statement accompanying the memorial service announcement, he shared, “Your support, prayers and kindness is being felt. Thank you. Celebrating my beautiful mother. God is good.”
