Pastor Steven Furtick Sermon – Borrowed Confidence

Elevation Church shares this new sermon and message by Pastor Steven Furtick titled “Borrowed Confidence” and it is not a sermon you will want to miss. Steven Furtick who is the father of Abbey Furtick, Elijah Furtick and Graham Furtick in this sermon teaches us that where our confidence comes from determines when it runs out. He is the founder and lead pastor of Elevation Church and he is married to Holly Furtick.

Teaching further on this sermon, ‘Elevation Worship’ wrote on Instagram:

“WHERE YOUR CONFIDENCE COMES FROM DETERMINES WHEN IT’LL RUN OUT!”

I loved the verse we talked about in the sermon from Psalm 27:13 where David said, “I will REMAIN confident in THIS: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” He made the decision to REMAIN confident, because his confidence was tied to the right source!

A lot of times in our lives we can’t get through the dark part because we don’t have the right partner. Like Philippians says, if we want to “know Him, and the power of His resurrection and the FELLOWSHIP of His sufferings,” there has to be a partnership. You can borrow confidence but it needs to come from the right partner/source. That means we have to learn how to stop borrowing confidence and beliefs from people & go straight to The source. If your confidence isn’t in THEM, THEY can’t take it away. I will remain confident in THIS! David couldn’t borrow confidence from Eliab and he couldn’t borrow it from Saul so he borrowed it from his remembrance.

I don’t know what the outcome of your situation will be or what the future is going to look like but we can choose what we remember. I want to encourage you this week — BORROW FAITH / CONFIDENCE FROM YOUR REMEMBRANCE OF GOD’S PAST FAITHFULNESS.”
