Pastor Steven Furtick Sermon: You Are Not Trash

Pastor Steven Furtick shares this sermon and message titled “You Are Not Trash” where he asks us not to believe the enemy’s lies. In “You Are Not Trash,” we’re challenged to let go of the enemy’s lies so we can hold on to the truth of God. This is an excerpt from his sermon “Devil You’ve Held Me Long Enough.”

He said there are some stuff God has put in you, and the lies you believe can become a lid on your life. They can become a limitation. The first thing he has to teach you is lie detection so you’ll even know it’s happening,
because it’ll sound so true.” Yet all the time, Jesus is saying, “You will know the truth, hold to the truth, and the truth will set you free.”  He reminded us that the Bible which has 66 books is all true, from
the book of Genesis to the maps in the back.

Steven Furtick went on to remind us that not every word from God comes through somebody with a collar. Not every word from God comes on a Sunday morning, but when God speaks to you, you will “know that was harsh.  You will know you’re being stubborn right now and you know you just think you need to be right right now.”
