Robert Morris Requests Prayers for Moscow After Devastating Concert Hall Attack
After a horrific terrorist attack on Friday night that tore through the Crocus City Hall music venue, a wave of sadness and prayers flooded over Moscow. The city is in shock and grief following the attack, which left at least 137 people dead and over 180 wounded.
News of the tragedy spread quickly, prompting an outpouring of solidarity from around the world. Local religious leaders, including Pastor Robert Morris, have taken to social media to rally their communities in prayer.
In a heartfelt post, The Gateway Church founder wrote, “Please join us in prayer for Moscow following the terror attack that took place there today. Lord, we pray for the innocent lives lost and ask for You to move in the lives of all the families affected by this horrific attack. We ask for Your healing, peace, and comfort for this community. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
The assault, which took place during a concert by the well-known Russian rock band Picnic, is thought to be the bloodiest to occur in Russia in 20 years. Four shooters reportedly broke inside the arena and started shooting at the gullible attendees. As concertgoers hurried for safety, witnesses reported scenes of fear and mayhem. Incendiary devices were also employed by the assailants, which caused the venue to catch fire, making escape much more difficult and raising the death toll significantly.
Numerous injured people, many of whom are in severe condition, are flooding hospitals as the hunt for survival continues. While bereaved relatives struggle to cope with their loved one’s unexpected death, rescue personnel labor ceaselessly amid the music hall’s debris.
Moscow has experienced its fair share of bloodshed in recent years, and the incident has left a lasting impression on the city. Nevertheless, a resilient spirit is beginning to emerge despite the catastrophe. As neighbors assist and console individuals impacted by the incident, social media platforms are flooded with messages of sympathy and support.
As Moscow grapples with the aftermath of this horrific attack, the city turns to prayer and the strength of its community to heal and move forward.
