Steven Furtick: Put This in Your Heart

Today, we bring you a message from Pastor Steven Furtick titled, “Put This in Your Heart.” Pastor Furtick teaches us that no matter what we are going through, we have to know that it will come together. We have to decide who we hang out with because that will determine where we end up in the future. When you say yes to someone, you have said yes to something that you didn’t know at the time. When you say yes to God, he’ll take you places you never thought you’d go.

Who you say yes and no to is really important. Know that it will come together. We are all standing in a space in our lives where we need clarity on some things. In the case of Ruth and Naomi, both of them were widows and completely dependent on the kindness of someone else. We should not read the Bible in isolation; we should try and understand the whole verse because we tend to think that it does not work.

“All things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose.” God determines what is good in your life based on his purpose, not your preferences. So when you go through something that’s not good, you have to know that all things work together for the purpose of God.

The purpose of God comes first, not our preferences or our plans. We get so addicted to our own plans that we don’t understand the purpose of God. God did not start with the picture called your plan when he was building the puzzle of your life.

You can’t judge your life in isolation, and you can’t really know the purpose of what you are going through at the moment. Don’t judge your life yet, and wait for the appointed time to come. God will reveal the hidden things and bring them to light. If you love something else more than you love the Lord, it is going to be hard to go through life. If you love popularity and money more than you love God, when they leave you, you will get depressed and think it’s not good. When you love God and people leave, you will thank God for those who left you because you believe that the Lord is leading your life and it will come together.

Whoever left you in your life was not part of God’s purpose for your current season, it does not mean that they are bad or evil. God doesn’t build your life on who left.
