Andrew Wommack is an American Evangelical Christian TV evangelist, a Charismatic Word of Faith teacher and faith healer, as well as the founder of Andrew Wommack Ministries, which was founded in 1978 and Charis Bible College (originally Colorado Bible College), which was founded in 1994. Evangelist Andrew
Wommack began preaching since 1969 and in 1976, Andrew broadcasted his first Gospel Truth radio program on a little country-and-western station in Childress, Texas. By 1980, Andrew and Jamie his wife had moved their ministry to the Colorado Springs area.
To teach the truth of the Gospel to the body of Christ throughout the United States and the world, with special emphasis on God’s unconditional love and the balance between grace and faith.
Evangelist Andrew Wommack believed that academics alone will not produce the right set of ministers, and he was divinely shown that practical “on-the-job” training combined with Bible instruction would prepare his students for whatever God was calling them to do. After assembling a faculty of seasoned ministers and associates, Charis Bible College started in September 1994.
Growth Of The Andrew’s Ministry
Andrew Wommack Ministries has grown from just one office in Colorado Springs to eleven offices across the globe. The Bible College has also grown by leaps and bounds with currently seventy Charis locations all over the world. The Gospel Truth has been added to over twenty networks including The Church Channel in the U.S., Daystar Network, God TV in Europe, and CNL, as well as over 500 television stations around the world.
There are over 700 students attending the Charis Woodland Park main campus, 968 enrolled in 36 other stateside campuses, 2,568 students enrolled at 28 international locations in 20 different countries, and 2,378 students are enrolled in stateside Distance Education—for a global, grand total enrollment of 6,645 in the
2018-2019 school year.
