From the scripture, we read of Simeon who had waited for a long time to see the messiah. What the holy spirit did for him was that he was at work in him. In our period of waiting, we should allow the holy spirit to be at work in us. As children of God, we should put our faith in God that the holy spirit hould come and rest in us. We do not need the holy spirit coming for a while, but we need him to rest in us.
The second thing is that the holy spirit gave him a revelation. Whatever we are waiting for, let it be for a revelation of the holy spirit.
The third thing is that Simeon was guided by the holy spirit. let us be the kind of people that even if it has been a long time, we should allow the holy spirit to guide us.
Let us allow the holy spirit rest upon us and not just come and leave. we should respond to the holy spirit just as Simeon did and allow God to do his work in us.
