Church of Highlands Pastor Chris Hodges’ son wins on ‘Wheel of Fortune’

Church of Highlands Pastor Chris Hodges’ son wins on ‘Wheel of Fortune’: Church of Highlands celebrates as Michael Hodges, son of the church’s senior Pastor Chris Hodges, emerged victorious on the popular game show “Wheel of Fortune,” bagging a total prize of $52,650.

Michael Hodges a former pastor at the Greystone campus of the Church of the Highlands who resigned from that position in 2017 over a “moral failing.” achieved a significant milestone after he appeared on an episode broadcast on Thursday. His right response to the question “Opening a jar” allowed him to go to the bonus AL.com reported.

His Father, Chris Hodges however took to Instagram to announce his son’s achievement. “My son Michael was the big winner on Wheel of Fortune tonight!” the pastor wrote in the caption of a photo from the event. “Just in time for the Legacy Offering,” he added, indicating his church’s upcoming event seeking to offer individuals the opportunity to reach out to the needy in the community.

“We don’t believe the world exists for the Church, we believe the Church exists for the world. Our Legacy Offering is next Sunday, December 10 – where we give above and beyond to reach people who are hurting and those who have never heard. We never ask you to give, but we ask you to ask God how you can be a part,” Chris Hodges said ahead of the Legacy Sunday which took place yesterday.

Created by Merv Griffin, The well-known American TV game show has been airing continuously since January 1975. Participants play a game in which they must solve hangman-style word puzzles to earn prizes and money. The winner of these prizes is chosen by a big wheel in the manner of a carnival.

Although resigned from his position as a pastor, Michael Hodges still holds the position of vice president of spiritual development for Highlands College. He and his wife  Katie Hodges have two children.
