Creflo Dollar: How Grace Teaches Humility

Today, we bring you a message from Pastor Creflo Dollar titled, “How Grace Teaches Humility.” The text for the message is from 1 Peter 5:5–6.

Pastor Dollars teaches us that we have to humble ourselves so that God can favor us. If we humble ourselves at the right time, he will lift us up in honor. As Christians, we should be humble before God and resist being proud. So pride, arrogance, and boastfulness are in opposition to humility, and if, as a Christian, you are not clothed in humility, most likely you’re going to have a pride and arrogance personality. God gives grace to the humble; we have to make sure that we understand what it means to be clothed with humility.

As a Christian, if you want grace and favor from God, you have to be humble under the mighty hand of God.

Why should we humble ourselves? Because when we humble ourselves, God will exalt us at the right time because God wants to exalt us, and God can’t exalt you until you humble yourself. God bestows grace on the humble, and if we want to be blessed Christians, we must be humble. It’s not all about doing good things; it’s all about doing them in the right spirit of humility.

God cannot exalt you if you do not humble yourself, but if we humble ourselves at the right time, he will bless us, even if we do not know when the right time for the Lord’s blessing will come. We have to clothe ourselves with humility for the blessing of God to come into our lives. So don’t be surprised when the world starts to change for you when you humble yourself.

Position yourself by being humble in order to be lifted up in honor by God. The only way you can humble yourself is with the help of the Holy Spirit. When God blesses you, you don’t have to brag on yourself; you should brag on God.
