We bring you today’s message from Pastor Creflo Dollar, which is titled “How to Defeat Fear.” The text for the message is from Isaiah 60:1-2. “Arise, shine, for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.” “For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people.”
Pastor Dollar teaches us that the Devil is throwing deception on people where fear is concerned; our world is inundated with a bunch of people full of fear. Fear is the foundation on which the darkness is released, and the darkness tries to make suggestions and control your mind. People are doing crazy things, and they don’t understand why they’re doing them. There is a solution to fear, and that is the word of God. Sometimes we look for other solutions, but the only antidote is the word of God. The word “arise” means to change your posture or change your position.
Darkness is everything that is in opposition to the light and opposes the word of God. Darkness can be a way of thinking, of governing, or of living that opposes the word of God. Some people hate God, and they hate the word of God. There is a constant attack trying to pull people away from believing in God. We have to know that darkness will never win, but the prophecy of darkness will come to pass.
The word of God is light, and it teaches us the way we should treat someone and how we should think. Life without the word of God is darkness, and that will open the door for the devil. Some people will choose the darkness rather than the light; that’s why they don’t want to hear the word of God. Darkness is displayed on television and on social media, and we have to be very careful about what we get involved in by hearing or watching. What leads people into darkness is fear and they want to destroy the church but they can’t because the light will always win.
