Starting the sermon, Pastor Dean takes us through his childhood experiences where he has been a recipient of rescue at some point. He tell us that there has been point in our life where we needed rescue or where we have had to help in rescue.
One of the greatest rescue stories in the bible is taken from the book of Luke 15 where we see the parable of the lost sheep. This parable tells of three different people; the 99, the lost sheep and the rescuer. God has a reason of leaving the 99 to go rescue the one lost sheep because every one mattered to him.
Concluding his message, he tells us the story of how he needed rescue and in the same way we all need rescue from the waves of life. We need to turn from our ways and acknowledge that we need God. There is need to invite Jesus into our lives to not just rescue us but restore our relationship with the father.
