Hand of Hope, the mission arm of Joyce Meyer Ministries, has announced its presence at Perryton, TX where they provide relief items to Tornado victims.
In a Friday Instagram post, the group led by Joyce Meyer requested prayer for those affected by the devastating Tornado that struck Perryton, Texas, on Thursday. They further disclosed in a statement that they are working together with Encounter Church in Amarillo to help the victims.
“Please join us in prayer for the people of Perryton, TX. A tornado ripped through the town last night killing multiple people and injuring dozens. Many homes and business were completely destroyed, the statement read.”
“Hand of Hope is partnering with Encounter Church Amarillo to distribute food, generators, baby supplies, and other essentials to those affected by this storm. Thank you for partnering with us to love people when they need it most.”
On Thursday evening, one or more tornados hit the Texas panhandle town of Perryton, a town of around 8,000 people. Consequently, the tornadoes caused fatalities and left some in critical condition. Properties were also destroyed as images of the Tornado scene revealed the town in the rubble.
Local KVII-TV reported that at least three people were killed. Up to 100 people with injuries were treated at the hospital in Perryton. At least 30 trailers homes had been damaged or destroyed in Perryton and firefighters were still rescuing victims at 6 pm local time.
“It’s bad, it’s very bad. It’s non-stop crazy. It couldn’t have hit in a more vulnerable place,” Mayor Kerry Symons said by telephone.
“Jane & I are praying for the people of Perryton tonight. I am in contact with Mayor Symons and this tragedy is being closely monitored by myself and my whole staff,” U.S. Representative Ronny Jackson, a Republican from Texas tweeted
