Harvest Church Celebrates Christmas Tree Lighting Event: It was a resounding success as people from across the community gathered Sunday evening to celebrate the annual Christmas tree lighting event at Harvest Church Riverside.
The Church founder and senior pastor Greg Laurie took to Instagram on Tuesday to share photos from the event.
The festive atmosphere resonated with joy and faith, as over 6,000 people reportedly gathered to celebrate the spirit of the season.
The evening kicked off with vibrant Harvest worship, carols, snow play, and Harvest Kids performance, creating a heartwarming atmosphere. The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the lighting of the magnificent Christmas tree, a towering symbol of hope and unity that illuminated the night sky.
Beyond the festive decorations and merriment, the event served as a powerful platform for sharing the message of Christ with Pastors delivering heartfelt messages. These messages resonated with many attendees, leading several children to commit their lives to Christ during the event.
“Over 6000 people showed up last night at @harvestriverside for our Christmas Tree lighting event. Jesus was honored, the Gospel was preached, many kids came to Christ. What a great night,” Greg Laurie wrote in the caption of the photos.
It was indeed a double celebration for Harvest Church as Sunday was also the 71st birthday anniversary of Greg Laurie. Although Laurie didn’t celebrate himself on social media, his Church penned a resonating message of gratitude for his faithful services.
“Happy Birthday Pastor Greg! We are grateful for your faithfulness to God, and the testimony of your life. God bless you always! Wish Pastor Greg a “happy birthday” in the comments!,” Harvest Riverside wrote.
Acknowledging the post, Greg Laurie simply wrote on his Instagram: “Yes, it is true.”
