We bring to you today’s message from Pastor Jentezen Franklin, which is titled, “Are You Lost?” Pastor Jentezen teaches us that in Luke 15, the Bible talks about the three lost things. It shows us the three ways that people can be lost: there was a “lost sheep, a lost son, and a lost coin.”
As the lost sheep was lost because it wandered away, there are people who are lost because they just wandered off; they go to church, and they are believers. It’s very possible for a believer to wander and drift further away from God. Many of us have been lost in our lives, and we can get back on track if we allow God to direct us. It feels great to be heading in the right direction again after getting lost.
Most Christians get lost not because they have the intention to go away from God, but by simple mistake. True Christians don’t ever like being lost; that’s how to know if there are sheep or not. If you like being lost in the world and in sin more than you love the church, you have to know that you’re a goat. Jesus Christ said we are either sheep or goats, and if you’re a sheep, you will not like being lost.
When you are lost as a Christian, come back to God, and you will be saved. Jesus is our shepherd, and he takes care of us, waiting for us to come back to his arm. Some people out in the world don’t have the intention of being saved; they’re okay living their lives far from God, which means they are not sheep. Unless you repent, you’re going to go to hell. When we get lost in life, Jesus Christ calls us back because he loves us and wants us to be with him on the last day.
If you don’t have the desire to go back to God after being lost, something is wrong with your soul. You are not born to be lost, God wants you back to him. God has the best intention for our lives, trusting him is all we need to do.
