Christ has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you.

Today we celebrate the signing of the Declaration of Independence, which marks July 4, 1776, as the day our Founding Fathers declared our freedom as a nation. But the battle for freedom went on until 1783. In the same way, we have to be determined to stand against the opposing forces in our lives. We have to declare our freedom from addiction, poverty, sickness, and lack. We have to stand and fight until we fully experience the freedom and peace that God has promised.

I love that after the early colonists signed the Declaration of Independence, they read it out loud in public and published it in their newspapers. They continued to declare freedom even though they were in the midst of the battle. Whatever battle you may be facing today, declare that you are an overcomer. Celebrate the victory that is on its way! As you stand strong and declare your freedom, you will experience His victory, and you will live in true freedom all the days of your life!

Father, thank You that it was for freedom that Christ set us free, and whom the Son sets free is free indeed. Thank You that I can take my stand and press through on the freedoms I am battling for. I declare the victory through Christ Jesus. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
