Joel Osteen Devotional March 6 2021 – Manasseh Is Coming

Genesis 41:51, NIV

Joseph named his firstborn Manasseh and said, It is because God has made me forget all my trouble and all my father’s household.

Joseph had been through many years of hardships, betrayals, injustice, and lonely nights, but with the arrival of his firstborn son after being made prime minister of Egypt, God had blessed him so much that he didn’t think about the past heartaches. He was too overwhelmed with the goodness of God to be angry and bitter about the people who treated him so badly. You may have had many unfair things come against you. You did your best, but a dream didn’t work out, your marriage didn’t make it, or you lost a loved one. It was painful and disappointing. Discouraging thoughts whisper, This is my lot in life. No, get ready. Manasseh is coming. God is going to bless you in such a way that you forget the pain of the past. You’re going to be so filled with gratitude for all God has done that you won’t think about what you’ve been through. Restoration and new beginnings are coming. The pain is only temporary, but the joy will go on forever.

Father, thank You that Your goodness is so much greater than all the negative things that I’ve faced and will face. Thank You that You are not limited by what has happened in the past. I believe and declare that my Manasseh is coming, restoration and new beginnings. In Jesus Name, Amen.
