Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church Partners with Samaritan’s Purse
Joel Osteen‘s Lakewood Church, a non-denomination evangelical Christian megachurch in the United States, disclosed of the church’s partnership with Samaritan’s Purse Relief amid the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria on the 6th of February, 2023. This was revealed through a post on the pastor’s Instagram page. The post revealed a documentary. This documentary, however, was that of the relief medical professionals aiding the victims in the medical center.
In the documentary, the Lakewood correspondent, Mathew Osteen Esq., rendered heartwarming words of comfort to the earthquake victims. In addition, he raved about how fortunate the church was to be in partnership with the relief organization. Furthermore, he mentioned that medical experts were actively responding in Turkey with much-needed care and resources.
However, Peter Holz, a registered nurse and Samaritan’s Purse respondent confirmed the medical professionals to be actively working. He added that It was because of situations like this that the team was able to go around the world sharing the love of Christ with the world.
In addition to the disclosure of Lakewood’s partnership with Samaritan’s Purse on the post caption, Pastor Osteen further appreciated the benefactors for their generosity. He made mention that their generosity had enabled the church to partner with the Relief Organization.
He wrote, “We have partnered with Samaritan’s Purse who is responding with medical care and resources in Syria and Turkey as they recently were impacted by a devastating earthquake. Thank you for your generosity which allows us to work with amazing partners to bring hope to the world”.
Reportedly, Lakewood Church is one of the largest congregations in the United States. The megachurch has evidently shared the love of God with humanity through their actions.
