Beginning the message, Meyer tells us that the key to breakthrough is not just reading the bible. The key to breakthrough is doing what the bible says.
Many Christians receive Christ and think that all they have got is just the ticket to heaven. In addition to the ticket to heaven, there is also a lot of material benefit that comes with it.
In this message, she tells us that Christians look forward to going to heaven but are not taking advantage of the promises of God made available to them.
The book of John 10:10 tell us that “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
What this means is that the devil is always trying to prevent us from having what Jesus has paid for us to have. He is always trying to prevent us from reaching the promises of God. In the circumstance, all we are going to do is to fight back.
The book of Philippians 3:12 -14, Apostle Paul talks about pressing on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of him.
There are things that Jesus died for us so that we can have them. You should fight so that you can have them.
Meyer added that Jesus died so that we get to be free. We do not have to live our life in the past or under the guilt and burden of condemnation. He did not die for us to live in fear or to live to please other people.
There are many thing that we give up. This may be because we do not know it is ours or that we do not know how to rightfully claim what is ours.
