Joyce Meyer: Dealing with Doubt – Part 2

Here is a message from Joyce Meyer, which is titled, “Dealing with Doubt—Part 2.” The text for the message is from Ephesians 3:12. “that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above and beyond all that we could ever dare to hope, ask, or think.”

Pastor Joyce tells us that God doesn’t do great things for us because we’re great; he does them because he’s great. The word doubt, as defined in the Greek dictionary, which was the original, means to be “without a way,” but we’re never without a way because Jesus is the way. When you hear that phrase “no way” in your mind, that’s a good time to open your mouth and say Jesus is the way.

Another definition of the word “doubt” is “to be embarrassed.” Most of us are afraid of going after our dreams because we’re concerned that if we’re  wrong and God doesn’t come through, we’ll be embarrassed. When you’ve got a relationship with God, things are never just up in the air. God doesn’t want you to have little faith; he wants you to have big faith, and he wants you to ask him for and believe for things that your mind cannot get in agreement with.

The Devil does not want you to get daring and bold in your faith. Anytime you try to get bold in your faith, he’s going to start reminding you of everything that you do wrong. We’d rather hope for a lot and get some of it than hope for a little and get everything. We dare to be bold and courageous; you can ask God for anything you want; the worst that can happen is that you won’t get it. God will always be with you, and your part is to trust him in all things.
