Today’s message comes from Pastor Joyce Meyer and is titled, “Don’t Let Conflict steal Your Peace.” Pastor Joyce tells us that if there’s anything on which the devil really works hard, it’s trying to keep us upset, but Jesus said in John 14:27, “My peace I leave with you.” We as Christians can be at peace when nothing is going right in our lives because we have a helper, God, whom we can ask to take those problems and work them out for us. We have permission to enjoy our lives while we have a problem and not worry about it. We have to cast our care on God and trust that he’s taking care of our problem, then go ahead and live the life that Jesus paid such a huge price for us to have.
We should stop allowing ourselves to be upset, fearful, intimidated, and disturbed. Jesus has done his part by dying for us, and we have to do ours. We have to stop making excuses and do the right thing because nothing that God tells us to do is too hard for us to do. We have to be serious about our relationship with God so that we can have what Jesus died for us to have. We have to know who we are in Christ, have confidence, and enjoy our lives.
Are you enjoying what Jesus died for you to have? He didn’t die for us so we could have a miserable life and then someday go to heaven. There is so much more to being born again than just living and going to heaven; Jesus came so that we could have life in abundance until it overflowed. We all have a purpose for why God allows us to go through hard times: so that we can learn from the experience. We Christians must go out into the world and act like Christians, not just in church, but everywhere people are looking for Jesus.
