Joyce Meyer: Exposing and Eliminating Strife – Part 2

Today’s message comes from Pastor Joyce Meyer and is titled, “Exposing and Eliminating Strife.” Pastor Joyce lets us know that the most important commandment that Jesus told his disciples is to “love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength,” and the second commandment is to “love your neighbor as yourself.” It is really important that we make peace with ourselves. We should be content and stop wanting what everyone else has. God is looking for laborers because the harvest is ripe, meaning he is looking for people to work for him.

Without peace, you’re not going to have any anointing in your life. If you live the right kind of life as a Christian and you carry that sacred anointing on your life—that presence and power of God—everyone will notice. If you live the right kind of life, your presence may convince people to accept Jesus. Show people around you what it means to be a Christian, and they will want to be one too. A lot of Christians’ problems really are that they don’t like themselves. You need God in your life to have peace with yourself.

God did not make a mistake when he was creating you because he did not make you like someone else. Just because you are not like someone else does not mean there is something wrong with you. If there is someone who doesn’t like you, that does not mean that there’s something wrong with you; maybe there is something wrong with them. You have to go ahead and be yourself, because no matter what you do, somebody’s not going to like you. Be at peace with yourself and protect yourself; you don’t need to get all the hate junk in you. We make God happy when we get along and love each other because it hurts God when we don’t like each other. Everybody has value, and we should treat everyone that way.
