Pastor Joyce tells us that we have to understand that fear is a demonic spirit; it’s not from God. We have to know that it’s the enemy’s favorite tool in his toolbox, the sole purpose of which is to keep us from making progress and going forward in life. Fear’s design is to stop you in your tracks or to drive you back where you came from. You have to learn how to overcome the spirit of fear with the help of the Holy Spirit so that you can move forward and enjoy the life God wants you to live.
You can remember times in your life when you’ve been stopped by fear. The Bible told us that God has set us free from fear, but that does not mean that fear will not come again. Fear will try to control our lives, but we have to overcome it with the help of the Holy Spirit. We are also freed from worry, but we still have worry in our lives, and we should not allow the Devil to use fear and worry to control us.
God wants us to enjoy our everyday lives, but the Devil wants to trap us in worry and fear. The Devil is really trying his best, but we have to know that God has given us authority over fear and worry. We should not give in to the spirit of fear because we are overcomers in the name of Jesus Christ and we have to trust God to take care of our lives. Spending time with God is the best decision we have to make in our lives. When we are closer to God, our faith grows stronger, and we will overcome fear whenever it comes.
