In the wake of Hurricane Beryl’s devastation across Texas, Christian leaders, including renowned speaker Joyce Meyer and Lakewood Church pastor Joel Osteen, are stepping up to offer support to those affected by the storm.

Joyce Meyer, the president of Joyce Meyer Ministries, highlighted the widespread impact of the storm, which struck Texas early Monday after battering parts of Mexico and the Caribbean.

“Beryl has caused millions of people to be without power and brought significant flooding and damage to homes and businesses,” Meyer shared on social media.

She, however, announced that her ministry’s mission arm, “Hand of Hope,” has partnered with the non-profit disaster and humanitarian relief organization, Mercy Chefs to deploy kitchens and serve hot meals to those impacted by the storm.

They are also collaborating with Global Teen Challenge to rebuild a center in Grenada damaged by the hurricane.

Expressing gratitude to donors, Meyer emphasized their role in enabling swift assistance. She urged prayers for those struggling in the aftermath.

“Thank you so much to those who donate to our ministry efforts,” the post read. “You are the reason we can quickly bring assistance to those in need. Please join us in praying for each person, family, and community affected by this disaster.”

In a bid to ensure safety, local authorities have urged residents to stay off the roads in the aftermath of the event. However, Lakewood Church’s senior pastor Joel Osteen has stepped up to help.

Taking to social media, he announced their church would be opening its doors at 8:00 am Tuesday as a “cooling and water distribution center and safe haven for anyone in need.” Additionally, they are mobilizing relief teams across the city to help the victims.

“We are also mobilizing our relief teams across the city to distribute supplies, emergency response kits, and clean up in areas most impacted from the storm,” he announced.
