Today, we bring you a message from Pastor Joyce Meyer titled “Making Adjustment.” She teaches that we don’t take enough time to celebrate. The word “celebrate” means “to mark an important event in your life,” something that causes you pleasure, which is why we celebrate birthdays and wedding anniversaries. Celebrating can be anything from a huge party and a feast to taking time to do something you enjoy or giving special thanks to God for a victory.
One of the ways that we can celebrate is by doing something for someone else who does not have what we have. When we are going through something really tough and we feel lonely, we should remember other things that God has done for us. We need to find something to celebrate in our lives. We have to be happy for other people who have what we want, and then we can get ours. If we’re jealous of other people’s victories, we need to get our attitude right and be happy for them.
Get honest with God. If there is something that we really want or need in our lives, that is a test that God wants to know how you are going to ask him for. There is power in remembering and celebrating the good things God has done for us. We must live with a celebratory attitude and remember God’s good work in our lives.
We have the blood of Jesus Christ over our lives, but instead of talking about things we need, we focus so much on things we don’t have that we forget the spiritual things God has done for us. We have the nature of God living in us, and our sins are forgiven. We have the privilege of praying and having our prayers answered. We need to stop complaining about the bad things in our lives and start celebrating the things God has done. Victory is in your attitude; we should be determined to believe in God.
