Over 250,000 people gathered last weekend at Angel Stadium in California for the 35th annual Harvest Crusade, an evangelistic outreach hosted by Greg Laurie, the Harvest Christian Fellowship senior pastor.

The one-night crusade held on July 20th received an overwhelming response, with participants filling the 45,050-capacity Angel Stadium to the brim, eventually leaving many to worship from outside. The event’s participation also stretched beyond the stadium, with thousands of people participating online.

Harvest Crusade’s social media reports a staggering 50,000 in-person attendees and 200,000 virtual participants, making it one of the largest spiritual awakening Christian gatherings in recent history. The event also witnessed a powerful move of God as over 5,000 people professed faith in Jesus Christ, including 35,000 from the in-person crowd and 1,500 from the online audience.

“This year, you kept the Harvest Crusade the most significant evangelistic event of the year with an amazing night of community, fun, and hope. In all, we saw over 250,000 people participate in this year’s event, 50,000 in the stadium, and 200,000 online, with over 5,000 people making professions of faith in Jesus Christ. To God be the glory,” the report shared on social media read.

The event, which focused on “calling people to Christ,” featured music from top Christian artists and special guests. The evening was capped with Pastor Greg’s special message titled “The Sinner’s Prayer” and   an invitation to accept Jesus Christ.

“After 35 years of evangelistic outreach in Southern California, there’s still nothing like a Harvest Crusade,” the post read. “And this year, God moved in such a mighty way, packing out the stadium and transforming lives the same way He’s always done through the proclamation of the gospel message.”

The entire Harvest Crusade event is available on the Harvest Crusade YouTube channel.

Harvest Crusade has seen a substantial increase in attendance compared to 2023 when held at the Honda Center in Anaheim. Last year, the Crusade drew over 32,000 attendees, with an additional 215,000 virtual participants.
However, there is a decline in the number of people making professions of faith. Unlike this year, in 2023, over 7,000 attendees made public declarations for Christ.

Following the successful Harvest Crusade, Pastor Greg Laurie has announced an upcoming Jesus Revolution Beach Baptism at Pirate Cove Beach. This mass baptism aims to formally welcome new believers into the Christian faith.
