Today we present you the message by Pastor John Gray which is titled “We Are The Church III”. This is part of the message series “We Are The Church”. The scripture text for the message is from the book of Matthew 16 v 13. In this scripture we see Jesus hand over the key to Apostle Peter.
Pastor John tell us that the key God has given us, the key of heaven can unlock any assignment that God has given to us. Stop fumbling for different keys because that key is your worship, prayer and intercession is your key.
Jesus is the head of the church, the preeminent one. However, the revelation that precipitated that was the declaration by Simon Peter. Jesus acknowledged this revelation and went on to give Simon a new name. The reason is that a revelation comes with a new name.
His name was Simon before the revelation then became Peter after the Revelation. This is the same thing that we see with Jacob. He tells us that the global economy of the kingdom that you become something else other than what you were.
When God changes your name, he changes your identity, purpose, capacity and enlarges your territory. The reason God has decided to change your name is because your birth name cannot carry the assignment which God has given you.
Pastor John tell us that once you know who you are and what God has called you to be, you will have no reason to be Jealous and insecure.
We are the church means that we all should not be doing the same thing. If we are all doing the same thing then there is no way we can maximize our potentials.
The most dangerous people in the kingdom are those who have understood their identity.
