We often think obedience is successful when we see the outcome. But it’s really successful when we give it. It’s not about us receiving. It’s about doing what God has told us to do, when He told us to do it. Today, Pastor Mike shows us that we are not controlling the clock. He teaches us that we won’t have forever to do what God has called us to do. Our obedience matters, and He’s calling us to obey today! Sometimes we think that we are not qualified in our own mind for the work that God wants us to do, just like Saul in the bible because when God came to find him and it was time to anoint him, he was hiding behind some suitcases, he didn’t think he was qualified for the work that God had chosen him for, he thought he was not qualified in his own mind, he thought he was little, he thought that his obedience was a little thing to God too.
God is trying to tell us that our obedience matters, no matter how little we think. We are a part of this story, Saul did not obey God when God sent him on a mission, God told him to completely destroy the sinners, he thought that sacrifice was better than obedience but that’s wrong, we have to listen and obey God first, when he gives us instruction in our life.
