Confidence is easily maintained when we’re minding our calorie counting business, but let us gain a pound or two and it’s like it never existed. How do we get confidence that isn’t sometimey?
Confidence is often described as something we build or gain, but the idea that it is something that we have to accept and receive as already being in us is harder to fathom. Confidence isn’t in getting to a perfect size or shape, it’s in knowing that the love we accept from our Savior is the same love we can give to ourselves no matter our size or shape. We possess a confidence that doesn’t grow by merit or discipline, but one that just IS by grace. In every shape, in every season, and in every style, we get to love ourselves exactly where we are.
