God can make promises to us but there is no guarantee that it will happen. It will only come to pass when we are in agreement with what God has said about us.
According to him, a prophecy is merely God’s intended end. However, whether it will come to pass or not, is dependent on how we respond to it.
Speaking on how to date right, he talks about “spying out the land” just like the Israelites did. Even though God had promised them the land, they needed to spy out the land and know what to expect. The same rule applies to relationships. Although, God might tell you that he or she is the one does not exactly mean that they are good or you. There is every need for one to observe and spy out the land.
