Pastor Steven Furtick: Focus On The Promise, Not The Problem

Today we bring you another teaching from Pastor Steven Furtick which is titled “Focus on The Promise, Not The Problem”. This teaching is an excerpt from the sermon “The Power of a Better Question”.

In this part, Pastor Steven tell us that the question is not “Has God Given It?”. The question is will you go forward for into it?

All the fruits of the spirit; Love, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. God has given us all of this, however, the question is will you go forward into it.

In this message, Pastor Steven takes through what happens when God is taking you through something and at the same time the devil is pulling you back. When you are in the desert, you ask desert-level question. It is survival based. Desert questions are based on your limitation and they originate from the devil.

Speaking further, Pastor Steven teaches about the power of a loaded question. It is much more than it appears on the surface to be. Whenever Jesus asks you ‘What Do You Want?’ – he is saying “Let us start there and move towards the deeper desires for which i have created you”.

He tells us that when you ask desert questions, all you will get are dead-end answers. It doesn’t open up anything.

From the scripture text ( Numbers 13, verses 17-31), Joshua and Caleb asked better questions. They had a different spirit and asked better questions. One thing they did was that they did not look at the impossibility of the situation. All they saw was an opportunity.

It is the same way that God can give you the ability to look at an impossibility and all you will see is opportunities.

This is a message that you will enjoy.
