Pastor Tony Evans Remarries: Four years after the death of his wife Lois Evans, the senior pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, Texas Dr. Tony Evans remarries Dr. Carla Crummie in a “private ceremony surrounded by family and close friends.”

Pastors Evans’s wedding was announced by his church in a statement shared on Sunday. “As we enter the celebratory Christmas season, we also celebrate the marriage announcement of our senior Pastor and his bride, Mrs. Carla Evans,” the statement featuring a stunning photo of the couple read.

“Marriage is a blessing from God, and it brings us great joy to see our pastor blessed in this beautiful way. After entering into their union in a private ceremony surrounded by family and close friends, the couple is excited to continue serving the Lord together, supported by faith, love, and the prayers of our church family,” it added.

Pastor Evans’ wedding comes a few months after he announced his engagement to Crummie during his 74th birthday celebrations service. “As I worked through the ups and downs of singlehood, God in His sovereignty has brought someone into my life,” Dr. Evans announced surrounded by his four children.

“This someone has traveled this similar road,” Evans explained, indicating that Dr. Crummie’s husband had died shortly after his wife. “Carla Crummie and her husband were on their way to Lois’ funeral when “her husband died. As I’ve tried to share the ups and downs of my life with you, I wanted to share this and give you the opportunity to meet my new fiancée, Miss Carla Crummie.”

At the time, however, Evans solicited prayers from the congregation, calling the time “sensitive” and “tender.”

The 64-year-old author and broadcaster lost his first wife to biliary cancer on December 30, 2019, nearly 50 years after their marriage.
