Samuel Rodriguez was born on September 29, 1969, in the United States. Raised in a Christian household, he developed a passion for ministry at an early age. Rodriguez earned a bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University and later pursued theological studies, obtaining a Master’s degree.

With over 40,000 Latino Evangelical churches as members, NHCLC/CONEL helps to cultivate a network of Latino leaders in the Christian community.

Rodriguez became a member of the board of the National Association of Evangelicals in 2006.

In addition to his leadership roles, Rodriguez is a prolific author. He has written several books on themes of faith, leadership, and the role of the Church in contemporary society. Some of his notable books include “Be Light,” “You Are Next,” and “Shake Free.”

Rodriguez’s book, Be Light, debuted at number one on the Los Angeles Times Bestseller List in June 2016.  he also published “You Are Next” in 2019. The book was a Publishers Weekly best-seller.

His 2021 release, Persevere with Power, made the ECPA’s Christian Bestsellers Lists in both English and Spanish, as well as reaching #20 on the ECPA’s January 2022 Christian New Releases.

Rodriguez published his most recent book in April 2023.  The book is titled “Your Mess, God’s Miracle: The Process Is Temporary, the Promise Is Permanent”,  debuted at #15 on ECPA’s July 2023 Christian New Releases.

Rodriguez served as executive producer for the 20th Century Fox film Breakthrough. Oscar nominated the movie for Best Original Song. Also, it won a GMA Dove Award for Inspirational Film of the Year.

In 2019, Fox Searchlight film Flamin Hot announced Rodriguez as the executive producer.  The film broke streaming records within the first 3 days of release and Variety named Flamin’ Hot one of its best films of 2023 so far. It is the first movie about a Hispanic person with a Hispanic producer, writer, director, and leading man and woman. It is also the first faith-family movie streaming on both Disney + and Hulu simultaneously.
