Political Activism
In 2020, Feucht ran for California’s 3rd congressional district as a Republican, receiving 14% of the vote. He ran a socially conservative campaign against high taxes, abortion, homelessness, affordable housing, and parental rights. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he organized worship concerts to protest lockdown restrictions and expanded the Let Us Worship movement to cities under extreme turmoil. Bethel Church supported his vision and did not financially support him.
In September 2020, Feucht held a Labor Day prayer rally in Seattle’s Gas Works Park, which was later allowed by the city. He faced police threats for not having a permit for a concert in Chicago. In June 2020, he held a worship concert at the site of George Floyd’s murder in Minneapolis, criticizing Black Lives Matter’s support for gender identity politics and abortion. In August 2020, he led “Riots to Revival” concerts in Portland and Seattle, which had recently been sites of protests.
Sean Feucht faced censorship on social media platforms after a June 2020 concert in Minneapolis, where he claimed Twitter and Instagram censored him and Bethel pastor Beni Johnson for sharing event videos and Bible verses. In September 2021, Feucht organized a Let Us Worship memorial service for 9/11 in Washington D.C., featuring a prerecorded address by former President Donald Trump. In early 2023, Feucht announced a “Kingdom to the Capitol” tour, co-sponsored by Turning Point USA. The purpose of the tour is to visit every state capital, with swing states being the focus in the 2024 election year. In response to this tour, dozens of religious leaders in the Pacific Northwest wrote a public letter denouncing him for “advancing LGBTQ+ bigotry in the language of religion.” They were responding to Feucht’s comments describing drag queens as “demonic, sick, [and] twisted” and arguing that they were “perverting the minds of children.”
Feucht has been an active participant in the ReAwaken America tour founded by Clay Clark and sponsored by Charisma News. At the August 2022 tour event in Batavia, New York, Feucht denounced “gender confusion [and] sexual perversion” among young people.
