Sunday Sermon by Bishop T.D Jakes April 3 2022: Caught

This is the Sunday sermon by Bishop T.D Jakes for April 3 2022 titled “Caught” where he teaches that we have all been caught in sin at some point in our lives. He said the public fallout and humiliation that came with it can be as damaging as our own guilt but even though you may have endured the consequences of your sin, know that the conviction of God is not condemnation but redemption. The Bishop of The Potters House of Dallas said that humanity may condemn you, but God is fair and He is acting on your behalf. This message is taken from the Scripture: John 8:1-11 (KJV).

This episode that only becomes real if you put yourself in the place of the character. If you stand outside of the text and watch it like a boy or watching a film then you can remain detached and uninvolved. But if you become the character this is one of the most traumatic humiliating moments in scripture for an individual to face in a crowd.

So much has been said about Will Smith and Chris Rock but most of it is only said because it happened in a crowd. When people get to see our humanity, they get to have an opinion about our humanity and our opinions can be weapons. We can be cruel and we can be vicious and we can be mean because it’s not us.
