Terri Savelle Foy shares this message titled “Don’t Go Back To Your Past, Get a vision for the future” which she said she remembered hearing years ago when she was tormented by memories of her past. She said “A person with no vision will always return to their past.” The daughter of Pastor Jerry Savelle said that this week, we’re going to deal with the past and get a vision for the future and she is going to make this a practical and easy process.
If you don’t have a vision for your life in some area, you will go right back to what’s familiar. She told a story saying that each Labor Day weekend in September, she hosts a women’s event in Dallas, Texas called Icing and women come from all over the world to come together to simply invest in themselves and God put it on her heart years ago.
She said that when she first started, the Icing women’s event … that people would leave their past and go home with purpose, that they would leave their disappointments and go home with a dream. One day, she was going through some of the mail on her desk and she came across this letter from a
young girl who was 17 years old and had stumbled upon her videos here on YouTube. She had been a prostitute since she was 11 years old.
She was so hurt, so wounded and when she came across our channel talking about how God has a plan for your life, He still thinks you’re as valuable as the day he made you, hope began to rise up on the inside of her. And she heard Terri talk about how a person with no vision will always return to their past. So she got a vision and she actually wrote, she said, ‘my biggest dream is to come to your Icing event in Dallas and hear you speak in person.’
Terri said she looked at where she was from on the envelope and it said Arizona. And she said, would you pray that someday I can be there? She laid her hands on her letter and prayed right then just believing God that her dream was gonna come true.
Well, after she prayed, she went in Donna’s office and she said why can’t we just make this happen? Donna said, let’s do it. So they contacted her mother and got permission to fly her to Dallas from like Phoenix.
