He said as we’re learning the lesson of an open-handed Christianity, here’s the question are we as God’s people today willing to trust God to really possess our possessions? That was the lesson the widow was learning … she was also learning how to prepare for the future. Before she gave, the widow was preparing to die. How bleak was the outlook of her future? … but when she put herself in the hands of God, God took care of her future. She learned to prepare for the future by trusting God.
