Walk in the Spirit
Walk in the Spirit: If we want to experience God’s love and miracles in our lives, we have to walk in the Spirit. Most of us spend most of our lives pleasing our flesh by sinning against God.
Our flesh will only lead us to hell and ruin our lives if we continue pleasing it. The sin of the flesh always looks and feels interesting at the moment, but it leads to destruction.
God doesn’t want us to be controlled by our flesh because he wants us to be with him in heaven. He does not desire that any of us perish.
The devil is working hard every day to make sure that our flesh is controlling us. We should not allow that to happen. It might be hard to overcome the flesh, but we are not alone.
In Galatians 5:19–21, it says, “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, and revellings.
We are stronger than we think because we have the Holy Spirit with us. No matter the situation, we should overcome our flesh and walk in the spirit.
Sins are normal now.
The truth is that sins are normal in our world today, and people are busy loving them. Sins are being promoted in many parts of the world, even on social media.
People are committing adultery, lust, and fornication without being afraid of God’s anger. Most people find it easy to hate their neighbor or envy someone’s success without thinking twice about it.
Many people have normalized drunkenness as part of life, and the world is fine with it. If the world is fine with the sins of the flesh, but we are not to be involved in them,.
God wants us to be extraordinary and show the world how powerful our God is. When we are representing God greatly, everyone will know that our heavenly father is alive.
We are not to behave like the rest of the world because we are called by God. As Christians, we don’t have the privilege to behave however we like.
If we see ourselves failing into temptations, let us come out of it because that’s not who God made us for. Actually, there will always be temptations in our lives, like lust, hatred, envy, unforgiveness, and so on, but let us stand strong.
There is no temptation that comes our way that we are not able to overcome. God has given us the power to overcome trials, tribulations, and temptations, but it’s up to us to use the power.
How to Overcome the Flesh
Overcoming the flesh might sound difficult for many of us, but we must understand that we are not alone. God is always with us because he loves us, so we have to do everything to please him.
Our heavenly father has promised us that he will never leave us or foresee us. We can’t overcome the flesh with our human power, but with the power of God.
We must deny our fleshly pleasures of sin and feed our spirit life by doing everything God instructed. When we deny the flesh access to sin, it will do its best to bring us down, but we must be strong.
Get closer to God through prayers, reading the word of God, and doing everything God commands. Overcoming the flesh might be hard at first, but with time, we will become winners.
We must love people around us with the love of God, even our enemies. When we love and forgive easily, it can be easy for us to please God in every area of our lives.
Listening to the Holy Spirit at all times can help us walk in the Spirit. When we walk in the spirit, that makes God happy, and many doors of blessings are opened to us.
