The book of Acts tell us that the Christianity came to establish the kingdom of God on earth and not with any political ambition. It came to bring us a lifestyle that is like that of Jesus. When Jesus was leaving, he left us with his spirit. The Holy Spirit is not a separate entity but the spirit of Christ and in the life of a believer it is reproducing Christ like attitudes.
In the book of Acts, we see the holy spirit be with the church and empowering the church. This means that we have been empowered to preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus.
One of the perks of being filled with the Holy Spirit is that you have the power to bring people out of their pan and misery. Just like Peter and John healed the man at the gate of the temple. They understood what they had inside them and they did the assignment given to them. The miracle brought people to Christ because when people saw they believed. the reason is this, the preachers mouth were off mute.
The reason why preachers are on mute is that they know that if they go out and preach the word as it is they will aggrieve somebody. That is not what we are supposed to be doing. Let us open our mouth today and bring people to the kingdom of God.
