Bishop T.D Jakes: Anxious for Nothing

Today, we bring you a message from Bishop T.D. Jakes titled “Anxious for Nothing.” Bishop Jakes teaches us what leadership really means. What does it really mean to be a leader? He tells us that true leaders must be steady in the midst of turbulence. These are difficult times not to worry, but Jesus told us in the Bible, “Take no thought of what you should wear, what you should eat, or where you should live. He will take care of all that concerns us.” Jesus wants us to be complacent, detached, and relaxed, and he says we should not worry about anything.

Apostle Paul also told us to “be anxious for nothing, but in everything, with prayer and supplication, make your requests known unto God; the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall guard your heart, mind, and emotions.”

We need security around our emotions to keep away the anxiety, fear, and depression. It might be hard for us not to be worried because of things that are going on around the world. We have to believe that God will take care of things that concern us.

How does faith express itself in times that are perplexing? It creates stress not only because of what we are enduring; trusting God is the best thing we can do as believers in Christ Jesus.

How does our faith manifest itself in the midst of a crisis? Jesus is not telling us to be mindless when he tells us not to worry; he’s telling us not to worry. Jesus is not telling us that we can have a strategy; he’s telling us not to worry. We should not allow our emotions to make us frantic just because we have a plan. God wants us to have a plan for our lives, but we should not be anxious about anything. Jesus wants us to manage our emotions.

This is a message that you will enjoy.
