Brian Houston Praises Wife’s Christ-like Character on 47th Anniversary
In a heartwarming social media post, Hillsong Church founder Brian Houston celebrated 47 years of marriage by showering his wife with love and admiration.
In the message shared on Instagram, Houston not only expressed his enduring love but also showered praise on his wife Bobbie, calling her “the most Christ-like person I know.”
“As of today, I’ve been married to this beautiful woman for 47 years,” Houston wrote in a post accompanied by a beautiful picture of Bobbie. “Still the most Christ-like person I know. She is loved by all that know her. She is especially loved by me.”
Reacting to her husband’s tribute, Bobbie took to the comment section to express her love for Houston. “47 years! Love ya Houstie!!!,” she wrote.
The touching tribute garnered attention, sparking many online reactions, with users offering congratulations and expressing their admiration for the couple.

Brian and Bobbie Houston were married in 1977. Their union is blessed with three adult children and eight grandchildren.
The couple are co-founders of Hillsong Church, a global Pentecostal megachurch with branches in numerous countries. They have been involved in ministry for over 40 years. They have also held prominent leadership roles within Hillsong, serving as global senior pastors and influential figures in the wider Pentecostal movement.
However, in recent years, Hillsong has faced criticism for its financial practices, leadership structure, and handling of various controversies.
Brian faced multiple allegations of inappropriate behavior towards women, leading to his resignation from leadership positions and an internal investigation.
Although Both Brian and Bobbie are currently no longer actively involved in Hillsong’s leadership, they announced plans to launch a new online church in 2024.
