We bring you today’s message from Pastor Creflo Dollar, which is titled “Don’t Be Afraid of Pressure, Pt. 2.” The text for the message is from 1 Peter 1:6–8. says, “So be truly glad there is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while.”
Pastor Dollar teaches us in this message that we may have to endure many trials for a little while, and the key is endurance. God will equip us to outlast our trouble if we don’t cave in and quit now. Quitting is easy. If you quit, you’re going to never know what could have happened down the road. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. The test of your faith is not to see if you have faith or not, but to see if your faith is sufficient or not. The trial of your faith is to move all of the self-dependence out of your life. For many of us, we depend on ourselves, and God wants you to depend on him.
Too much of your dependence on ourselves makes us forget about God. There are some things that will happen in your life for which you won’t have the answer; that’s why you have to depend on God. These trials will show that your faith is genuine; when you go through a trial, your faith in God gets stronger. When the trouble comes, when the persecution comes, then we’re going to find out if your faith was real, if it was genuine faith.
