Dr. Dharius Daniels: I’m Not The Same Part. 2

This is Thrive With Dr. Dharius Daniels, with a message titled “I’m Not The Same, Part 2”. Dharius Daniels is a cultural architect and trendsetter for his generation. The text for the message is from Judges 8:22. “Israelites said to Gideon, Rule over us, you, your son, and your grandson, because you have saved us from the hand of Midian.”

Pastor Dharius teaches us in this about being who God has created us to be. Many of us have been struck by the old version of ourselves and don’t make any progress. Gideon’s story is a powerful picture of a principle we call in the coaching space a Quantum leap. We have to know about Quantum leaps. And the term quantum Leap is borrowed from quantum physics and describes how a particle of matter can instantaneously leap from one space to the next. It’s a picture of possibility, not just for matter; it’s a picture of possibility for people. Quantum leaps rest. Quantum leaps rest on the Revelation and the rejection of the notion that the only type of growth is incremental growth. It rejects the notion that the only type of growth is incremental growth; it is a mind that is renewed from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset. Quantum leaps are an explosive leap in your personal performance that puts you far past the next logical step. They are an indication of an alternative way to move forward. They suggest that you do not have to always take steps, that some things happen in steps and other things can happen in leaps, and 2023 is not a leap year literally, but it can be a leap year prophetically. It can be your year to say this is not taking leaps. mentally leaps relationally, leads professionally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Gideon’s story is an example of a Quantum leap. He changed so fast that he went from a man who was threshing wheat in a wine press to a man who was discouraged, disillusioned, and suffering from imposter syndrome. God sent a messenger to him while he was threshing wheat in the wine press and said, The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor. God calls him the exact opposite of the way he’s behaving; there’s nothing about him that demonstrates him being a mighty warrior, but God calls those things that are not as though they were. There is nothing about his activity that is an indication that he should embrace the identity of a warrior, but you need to know that whenever you attach your identity to dysfunction, you have mislabeled yourself. Whenever you attach your identity to dysfunction and not the imaginal day or the image of God, you have mislabeled yourself.
