Many Christians really want to know what it means to be spiritually mature. Knowing who we are can be comforting, and the feeling is reassuring. Most of us define ourselves based on our worldly achievements, where we live, who our parents are, and our careers.
We have to learn to define ourselves as children of God because all our worldly achievements can disappear at any time. When we define ourselves as children of God, that identity is permanent and will never change.
What is spiritual maturity? Is the ability to take responsibility for our thoughts and actions.
We have to know that the way we think is really important because it influences our actions. We have to make sure that we are thinking the right thing so that we can take the right action.
When we are facing challenges and we start to think negatively, knowing who we are can help us take control of our thoughts.
When we are spiritually mature, that’s when we know our rights in Christ Jesus and what he has made available for us. Being spiritually mature helps us have a stronger relationship with God. The enemy does not want us to grow so that he can control our thoughts.
