God said that he wants obedience not sacrifice. A lot of time we don’t what God tell us to do but then we do some other religious work and try to makeup for the thing that God told us to do that we did not do.
Isaiah 58 “the people said why we fasted and haven’t seen it, why have you not noticed our fasting and God comes back and says well on the day of your fasting you do as you please, you quarrel and you have strife and you mistreat one another.
So God is basically saying there is that if your behavior is ungodly that you are not living to his accordance.
It is not necessary for anyone to ask us if we are christian they do see it in our behavior, we don’t need to preach to them and we don’t have to wear some certain jewelry or have some bumper sticker on our car, but our behavior should be the holy spirit coming through us.
There’s nothing more important than how we have to people. Our behavior is more important than how often we go to church, it is more important than how often we fast, it is more important than how much of the bible we got underlined.
We do not know anything unless we are doing it. Are we doing something nice for people to notice us and call us good people? that’s wrong , we should behave good everywhere we are not to impress anyone but to please God.
Our reputation with God is more important than our reputation with people, God rewards us and bless us when we behave according to his words and it makes us become a better person.
