Here is a message from Joyce Meyer, which is titled “Get Serious (Part 2)”. Continuing from the first part of the message, Pastor Meyer tell us that if we cannot obey God in the little things, it will be difficult to do so in the big things. Meyer also talked about how our words are full of life and death and we really need to be careful about the things we say.
She pointed out that we have to start with the little things taht we think that God does not care about. Although we are in the world, we are not like every other person in the world. We as Christians, are expected to stand out and shine. She added that even though we do not have to act as if we are better than everyone else; what God requires from us is excellence.
The second thing that God wants us to have is Integrity. When you have integrity, you do not discriminate in the way you treat people because you understand that we are one before God. The first rule of humility is not to think of yourself better than anyone.
Meyer pointed out that although we all have had problems, it should not be an excuse our bad behaviour. We should not let people with bad behaviour pull us down, instead we should see it as an opportunity for us to show God. This is what God wants. God loves them regardless and he wants them to have the knowledge of that.
Also, she went on to talk about love and the four types of love; Agape, Family, Friendship and the Romantic love. Love is not just predicated on how we feel about them but on how we treat them. She also added that as far as love is concerned, we should learn to do random acts of kindness for people.
